Introducing the EVANS Hybrid Cymbal and Hi-Hat Sensors.

Real Cymbal Sound and Feel.

The new standard in electronic cymbals, with unprecedented realism, dynamics, and expressive possibilities. Finally cymbals that look, feel, and sound natural. Authentic rebound, nuance, sensitivity, and endless creative potential in a complete electronic drum kit, making it the best choice for quiet practice, hybrid performance and cutting-edge sound design.

Since its inception, Sensory Percussion has expanded the sonic palette available via percussive gestures across heads, rims, and shells. Now, we're moving beyond drums to complete the picture of the full kit.

Complete Your System. Expand Your Sound.

  • Immersive Realism:the feel, dynamics and authentic sounds you'd expect from an acoustic cymbal and hi-hat. Thanks to Sensory Percussion's unique timbre detection, our virtual-acoustic cymbal mappings are just like playing the real thing.
  • Unmatched Accuracy:trustworthy sensing across 5+ zones. Hi-hat sizzles, foot splashes, cymbal chokes, even extended techniques like pings on the side of the cymbal are all detected and translated to nuanced sonic control.
  • Unique Sound Library:from the classic big names you'd expect out of any virtual cymbal library to independent cymbalsmiths making one-of-a-kind cymbals, we made a point to gather an eclectic variety of sounds you won't find anywhere else.
  • Exceptional Versatility:turn any drum setup into the ultimate electronic kit – loud or quiet, full-size or portable. Transform your cymbal into any sound you like. From a vintage 1940's ride, to a modern FX stack, to a melodic synth, nothing is out of the realm of possibility.
  • Unparalleled Control:control the filter cutoff as you move from bell-shoulder to bell-tip. Turn on a delay effect when you splash the hi-hat. Add chords to your crashes. Or just tweak the wide variety of built-in presets to adapt to your unique playing style. It's easy to build and record your full kit with creative, intuitive control in Sensory Percussion.
  • Seamless Integration:connects effortlessly with the EVANS Hybrid Sound System and EVANS dB One low volume cymbals.

When we sell out of this release the early-access pricing and included dB One Cymbal offers will end.

When will it ship?

The first run of units will be ready to ship in mid-to-late January, 2026 for the US, soon after that for Canada, UK, and Europe.

Where do you ship?

This initial early-access run is only available to users in the US, Canada, UK, and Europe. We expect to expand to more countries in the future. If you have any questions about your location, please email us at support@sunhou.se

Do I need the EVANS Hybrid Sound System?

Yes, the Cymbal & Hi-Hat Sensors require the EVANS Portal interface and Sensory Percussion software to work. They're not compatible with other drum brains or systems. If you don't have the EVANS Hybrid Sound System, you can grab a bundle here!

Do I need special cymbals?

In the early-access run, all Cymbal and Hi-hat sensors come with EVANS dB One cymbals. The software and hardware is tuned to work seamlessly with these cymbals with no additional setup or training required. Compatibility with other low-volume cymbals and acoustic cymbals is on our roadmap.

Can I mix and match drum and cymbal sensors?

Yes! The Portal interface accepts up to 7 sensors of any type: drum, cymbal, and hi-hat.

Can I try before buying?

You can see and play the system in-person at the EVANS Hybrid NAMM booth this January. We will be at booth #6623 -- please stop by!
