Sensory Percussion 2.6.7 – Upgrade Now
This is a big one. Sensory Percussion 2.6.7 brings a brand-new Convolution Reverb engine, a redesigned Metro controller with tap tempo and subdivisions, submix routing for sub-modules, and new cymbal and hi-hat detection models with improved support for L80 low-volume cymbals — plus a wave of smaller additions, fixes, and workflow improvements throughout. Read on for the full details.
To upgrade, open the software and look for the pop-up window. Otherwise, you can grab the latest version on the downloads page.
A redesigned Metro
The Metro controller has been redesigned from the ground up. It now includes tap tempo, a bar count, subdivisions, a beat indicator, and control modes — making it faster and more intuitive to dial in the tempo and feel you're after.
Convolution Reverb
We've added a new Convolution Reverb effect with selectable impulse responses, predelay, and high and low cut filters. Convolution reverb uses recordings of real acoustic spaces to place your sounds in those environments, giving you a level of realism and character that algorithmic reverbs can't match.
Submix routing
You can now route sub-modules into submixes with the new submix spill, giving you more flexible signal routing and finer control over your mix. We've also added a monitor button to layer headers so you can send a layer to your monitor mix without affecting the main mix.
Hand drum instruments in the library
We just introduced a new Instrument tag type, which brings hand drum instruments into the library. You can now browse and search for hand drum instruments, drag them into your kits and quickly hot swap them. The library includes over 50 hand drum instruments across all our current sound packs.
New detection models
Detection keeps getting better. This release introduces new cymbal and hi-hat models with improved support for L80 low-volume cymbals, plus a redesigned hi-hat pedal tension control to help you dial in your hi-hat feel.
